We should have a more generic form of this page that shows how to configure ICU chains for any language, including a short overview of what ICU is, what files it uses, and what the edits noted on the page actually do.

  • How to edit /etc/koha/zebradb/etc/default.idx
  • What changes need to be made to words-icu.xml?


I've added two pages -- ICU_chains_configuration, which covers generic ICU setup and ICU_Chains_Library, which contains language specific modifications to words-icu.xml and/or phrases-icu.xml.

I would like to deprecate this page; the information contained here is almost entirely duplicated by the pages above, which are useful to Koha users of all different languages. --Barton 11:57, 10 October 2016 (EDT)
